About Olufemi James Urrah
A New Standard for AMAC/BWARI
Hon. Engr. Olufemi James Urrah is a professional engineer, entrepreneur, and public servant who has dedicated over a decade of his life to building communities, strengthening institutions, and preparing himself for one purpose: to deliver the kind of federal representation that the people of AMAC and BWARI have long deserved but never fully received.
He is the Social Democratic Party (SDP) candidate for the AMAC/BWARI Federal Constituency in the 2027 General Elections — a certified SDP primary winner and the people's mandate at the grassroots level. His campaign runs on three non-negotiable principles captured in the OJU philosophy: Ownership, Justice, and Unity.
"Every resident of AMAC and BWARI owns this constituency. Justice means every ward gets what it deserves. Unity means we build it together."
— Hon. Engr. Olufemi James Urrah

O
OWNERSHIP
Every resident of AMAC and BWARI owns their constituency. This mandate is not the property of a party, a faction, or an elite - it belongs to the people. Ownership means that development decisions are community-driven, budgets are transparent, and every naira of constituency allocation is publicly tracked.
J
JUSTICE
Every ward deserves equitable investment, equal access to services, and a fair share of federal resources. Justice means no community is left behind in infrastructure, healthcare, education, or economic opportunity. It means a representative who advocates with equal force for the market woman in Nyanya and the young graduate in Kubwa.
U
UNITY
AMAC and BWARI are two area councils with one shared future. Unity means bridging divides -between wards, between communities, between generation — to build a constituency that moves as one. This campaign brings all 22 wards together under a single vision of shared progress.
Who I AM
Olufemi James Urrah is a professionally trained engineer and entrepreneur whose career spans technical practice, business development, energy sector operations, and community service. He brings to political life the discipline of engineering — structured problem identification, measurable targets, systematic execution, and verifiable outcomes.
His professional background has given him the capacity to read a budget as a blueprint, to evaluate an infrastructure plan with technical rigour, and to hold contractors and government agencies accountable to specifications — not just intentions. This is the lens through which he will approach legislative work.
His leadership philosophy is built on three words: engineering thinking, community trust, and legislative courage.
Political Journey and the Road to SDP
A Decade of Party Service (2014–2026)
From February 2014, Hon. Urrah was an active and loyal member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), contributing to party growth through grassroots mobilisation, stakeholder engagement, and leadership development. Over more than a decade, he rose through the party structures to serve at national level.
His roles included:
- National Secretary — APC Aspirants Forum (APCAF), since 2022
- Former North Central Publicity Secretary — APC Aspirants Forum
- Participant in the 2018 APC primaries for AMAC/BWARI House of Representatives
The Decision to Join the Social Democratic Party (May 2026)
In May 2026, after careful deliberation, Hon. Engr. Olufemi James Urrah formally defected to the Social Democratic Party (SDP) — a decision rooted in values alignment, not political convenience. The SDP's founding ideals of equity, democratic participation, and people-centred governance closely mirror the OJU philosophy that has guided his entire public life.
"I did not leave the APC because I failed — I left because I found in the SDP a home that matches my commitment to justice, ownership, and unity for every Nigerian. The people of AMAC and BWARI deserve a platform that serves them, not one they must serve."
This decision was validated swiftly and decisively. Hon. Urrah contested and won the SDP primary election for the AMAC/BWARI Federal Constituency — emerging as the party's confirmed candidate for the 2027 General Elections. The primary victory was a grassroots mandate, not a top-down appointment.
SDP — A Platform Built for the People
The Social Democratic Party represents a clear, principled alternative for Nigerian voters who believe that governance must prioritise equity, accountability, and genuine democratic participation. For the people of AMAC and BWARI — who have experienced the consequences of ineffective representation — the SDP ticket carried by Hon. Urrah offers a credible, reform-minded path forward.
Why I'm Running
Dear friends and neighbours of AMAC and Bwari,
I did not set out to be a politician. I set out to solve problems. But I have watched too many of our problems — youth unemployment, decaying infrastructure, healthcare that arrives too late — persist while representation remained distant.
I am running because our constituency deserves an engineer in the House: someone who listens before speaking, who costs before promising, and who reports back after delivering. I am running because Ownership, Justice, and Unity are not slogans — they are the three tests every policy must pass.
This campaign is open to everyone. Join us.
— Hon. Engr. Olufemi James Urrah, SDP Candidate, AMAC/BWARI
Vision for AMAC/BWARI: Ownership of Our Future
The vision is a constituency defined by opportunity, equity, and shared prosperity — where the OJU values of Ownership, Justice, and Unity are not slogans on a flyer but living realities felt in schools, hospitals, roads, and markets across every ward.
The vision is a constituency where:
- Every young person has access to skills, enterprise support, and a dignified economic future
- Every community — from City Centre to Usuma — receives fair infrastructure investment
- Every resident can access quality primary healthcare close to home
- Every business owner benefits from improved roads, power, and broadband connectivity
- Every constituent knows where their representative is, what they are doing, and how to hold them accountable
This vision is anchored in long-term planning, engineering discipline, community engagement, and the courage to legislate for the many rather than the few.
Core Leadership Values
The OJU campaign is anchored in six non-negotiable values:
1. Ownership
Every constituent is a co-owner of this mandate. Resources belong to the people, decisions are made with the people, and outcomes are measured by the people.
2. Justice
Fair representation means every ward gets what it needs. No community is too small to deserve federal attention; no challenge is too local to raise at the federal level.
3. Unity
AMAC and BWARI are two councils, one constituency, one destiny. This campaign refuses to pit wards against each other and commits to a shared development agenda.
4. Accountability
Quarterly legislative reports, annual community town halls, published budget tracking, and an open constituency office. Every decision explained. Every naira accounted for.
5. Integrity
The mandate of the people is a public trust, not a private benefit. This office will be held to the same standards demanded of every institution it oversees.
6. Results
Engineering thinking applied to governance: define the problem, design the solution, execute with discipline, measure the outcome. Not rhetoric - results.
Commitment to AMAC and BWARI
The OJU 2027 campaign's commitment to the people of AMAC and BWARI is active, continuous, and already underway — long before election day.
This commitment includes:
- Free medical outreach — delivered to over 400 BWARI residents (2026)
- Youth vocational skills programme — 60 AMAC youth trained and equipped
- Women's market support grants — over 80 women traders in AMAC benefitted
- Constituency road petition campaign — formal advocacy to FCT Administration and FCDA
- Regular ward-level community town halls — two-way dialogue on governance priorities
- OJU Football Tournament 2026 — 22 ward teams, 66 fixtures, community unity initiative
Representation is not just about presence in Abuja — it is about active, consistent, and meaningful engagement at home.
A Proven Foundation, A Stronger Mission
Having contested the 2018 APC primaries for this same constituency, having served at national party level for over a decade, and having won the 2026 SDP primary decisively, Hon. Engr. Olufemi James Urrah arrives at 2027 not as a newcomer but as a prepared, tested, and deeply rooted candidate.
This campaign represents:
- Growth built on real experience from the 2018 primaries and 12 years of political engagement
- The SDP mandate — a primary victory that reflects genuine grassroots trust
- A fully developed seven-pillar manifesto, not a wish list
- Ward coordinator networks operational across all of AMAC and BWARI
- A live digital campaign at olufemijamesurrah.com with full transparency
- The OJU commitment: Ownership, Justice, and Unity — not just as a slogan but as a governing framework
"The goal is not just to win an election — it is to earn the trust of the people of AMAC and BWARI and deliver representation that they will feel in their daily lives for years to come." — Hon. Engr. Olufemi James Urrah
